I love the outlining, tone and idea here. Pics like this makes me want to shoot portraits too! :D
What kind of lightning you used here? Natural light I guess? And what about the mm´s at you objective? (The zoom I mean, sorry about my english :) )

I used two strobes with softboxes...so studio lighting indoors. The zoom...I think it was somewhere around 100mm.
